Mona
Well! Kicking things off with this four piece from Tennessee who have been referred to as ‘somewhere between Kings of Leon and U2’, that’s right! The big boys! Very much a band of big songs, loud choruses and buzzing guitar riffs, rounded off with the gutsy voice from front man Nick Brown. Winning combination in our eyes!
The Naked and Famous
This fresh faced electro pop rocked up band spurring from that distant land New Zealand, has already made a place for themselves in the charts with their debut release of their album ‘Passive Me, Aggressive You’ back in September. We really hope they will continue to flood bedrooms and in student parties with their feel good beats. Stay tuned!
The Vaccines
For a band that have yet to release their debut album, there is already an impressive buzz surrounding this London indie group! The limited but impressive exposure of this band including a Later…With Jools Holland appearance was enough to get us and many others freeing up oh so precious space on our mp3 players in preparation for their album ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?’ which will be hitting the shelves in March.
Cloud Control
Meet Australia’s entrance into the indie-folk scene! Formed to take part in a music competition, the band has been lucky enough to support the likes of Vampire Weekend, Temper Trap, and Local Natives. With friends like that, watch out for these guys!
